Chase Tower

North America

Chase Tower is the tallest building in Chicago’s “loop proper.” The building features a plaza two levels deep with a large fountain at the bottom with nine square tubes of water rising to varying heights. One of two buildings in the U.S. that slope upwards (along with the W.R. Grace Building), Chase Tower rises 60 storys above ground and was completed in 1969. The granite for the facade came from Marble Falls, northwest of Austin, Texas.
